Maze Runner trailer throws future boys into a maze from hell

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

The Maze Runner is basically your next "young person is thrown into an illogical future situation and has to use their wits to survive and beat the government" movie. But this time it's starring a boy.

The Maze Runner is adapted from the very popular book by James Dashner, and the official synopsis sheds little light on this twisty tail.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, young Thomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased, soon learning they're all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow "runners" for a shot at escape.

No doubt the fandom for this novel will be only fanned when Teen Wolf actor Dylan O'Brien gets his first close-up. And you thought the Hall H scream sessions ended with the Twilight franchise. NO—out of the sparkle ashes arises a new tween god. BEHOLD!

Wow, I really shouldn't have come over to my favorite website after all the love and excitement we've had this evening in other places about the trailer. I'm sorry so many of you hated my book. I tried my best. Wow, this hurts. (But, just to be clear, I wrote this in 2005; I have the initial rejections to prove it. It's not a Hunger Games ripoff and its plot is absolutely nothing like Hunger Games. Except that teens are involved and it's in a dark future, I guess. Also, Fox began preproduction on this well before THG movie came out. A change in director delayed it a couple of years.)

Although it hurts, I respect all of your opinions and I will continue to love this website. It's my sincere hope that you'll put aside your hate for YA and give this movie a chance at least. Honestly, the movie is far better than the book. Haha. The early screenings for focus groups has been EXTREMELY positive. Give it a chance. Maybe.

I wish you all the best.
