More than the ending, I think the single scene that bothered me most from Lost was Charlie's death. Just go through the door and shut it behind you while the room is sloooowly flooding! Or at least swim out the busted window to the surface. Jeeesus.

But I guess it was good practice for the sort of deliberate obliviousness needed to enjoy the show — ignore the gaffs and failed explanations, and just live it up for the headlong mysteries and promises. Just imagine that Charlie actually did have to die to save whatever the hell it was; it certainly would have been easy enough to tweak that scene to make it actually make sense.
