Listen to the Fringe cast's real accents in this farewell video

If you're still jonesing for more Fringe, consider this your last methadone shot — Fox just released this video of the cast saying goodbye (sometimes in their native Australian accents) to the fans. It probably would have made more sense for Fox to post this before January 18th, when the Fringe finale actually aired, but whatever — as John Noble notes, Fox actually did exceedingly well by Fringe and its fans, not only continuing the show several times when we all thought it was going to be canceled, but even giving it an abbreviated fifth season to wrap things up. I can certainly forgive them taking a little extra time to post a goodbye video.

The point when the show committed suicide is precisely the moment when Peter vanished from both universes a couple of seasons ago. Fringe used to be a show that did not make stupid mistakes, suddenly they were making them all the time. I don't know if they fired off all the smart writers or what but things nearly got to W13 levels of dumbness, a show where they could literally get trained dogs to be the main characters. The same thing happened to Farscape, the point when Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan (the blue woman) started to die.
