Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner Were on TV Together Years Before Star Trek

In researching Man from UNCLE, an interesting bit of trivia kept popping up: Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner’s first appearance together was in UNCLE’s season one episode “The Project Strigas Affair.”

You don’t really need a lot of context for the clip, but here’s a synopsis anyway: UNCLE is working to discredit a Balkan diplomat by selling him on a fake chemical agent called “Strigas.” Shatner’s playing Michael Donfield, a chemical engineer recruited to help with the plan. Nimoy is an assistant to the politician.

Anyway, enjoy Shatner’s deliriously drunk performance and Nimoy’s accent work.

Forget this. Credit to anyone who has the reference correct to the line from Star Trek, when Spock says “An ancestor of mine maintained that if you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains – however improbable – must be the truth.”.

Why is this true?
