On his Facebook page, James Gunn gave a fan the thumbs up emoji when asked about a Stan Lee cameo indicating that yes, unsurprisingly, Stan Lee will continue his long-running tradition of making cameos in Marvel movies.
The sentient food makes itself known to a human in a new (and, of course, mildly NSFW) clip.
Here’s a brief little snippet from behind the scenes on the film, shared to the franchise’s facebook page.
Production has begun on the scifi/horror movie starring Wesley Snipes.
The movie tells the tale of five friends vacationing at a remote lake house, expecting nothing less than a good time. Unbeknownst to them, Earth is under an alien invasion and in the thralls of a mass-abduction.
Legends of Tomorrow
Matthew MacCaull has been cast as Commander Steel, the latest confirmed member to join the show’s take on the Justice Society of America. Details about the character, who was primarily a member of the All-Star Squadron—his grandson Nate Heywood (who was already confirmed to be joining the show recently), took on the Citizen Steel moniker to become part of the reformed Justice Society in 2007—are being kept under wraps for now. Hayley Atwell reflects on the show’s ending, and says she’d be willing to return to the role in any capacity she could in the future:
It’s still a much loved show for the people involved with the making of it, and we know that the fans, it has a special place in their hearts....I would be very happy to go back to if the opportunity came. I’d love it to be [still on the table]. The great thing about Peggy is she lives a long life. I’m banking on being in my 50s and going, ‘Let’s see what Peggy’s up to.’
Show runner Ed Decter has left the series. No announcement about a replacement has been made yet. [Deadline]
Robin Lord Taylor and Camren Bicondova tell Comicbook.com about the darker paths the Penguin and Selina Kyle will take in the next season:
Bicondova: I think Selina is always exploring that without even knowing. because she has a genuine heart, she’s very loyal, and she’s very honest and intelligent. But I think just as natural as her goodheartedness is her evilness. This season we’re actually going to be seeing her go down a darker path, and I’m so excited.
Lord Taylor: The great thing about this season is after last season, having the two people that he loves, in the entire world, taken away from him, he now has full license to go completely psychotic. There’s nothing holding him back. That’s sort of the overall theme of our show, about love and the loss of love, and to love someone is to be vulnerable.
According to Rob Thomas, “Liv will have a love interest this year who will not die.” Check out the full interview with the cast and crew below.
Here’s a new set video of Superman beating the crap out of a villain—who in fact appears to be New 52 version of longtime supervillain Metallo.
