One of the things that I really liked about this book was that the women stalked by the killer all developed quite different relationships (or non-relationships) with him. I'm curious how you decided which ones would be in love with him or drawn to him, versus being either ignorant of him entirely or terrified of him? What were you trying to get at with these differences in their responses?
