One of the very best characters from Steven Spielberg’s 1993 dino-smash Jurassic Park is returning for the fourth installment in this franchise, Jurassic World! And she’s not happy about it.
In an interview with Hero Complex, director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the original T. rex would be returning for his film. This is only right. Unfortunately, she’s not super-pleased with the her current state. Trevorrow explained:
“The T. rex in this movie is the same T. rex from ‘Jurassic Park... She’s been on the island for 22 years. She’s still alive. She’s a little older, and she’s angry.”
Trevorrow describes her to Slashfilm (while on set) as, “having a bit of Burt Lancaster-thing going on.”
And if you head over to the Jurassic World website you can see the original “We have a T. rex,” dinosaur (above) looking pretty much the same. Maybe a little bit older. Either way, it’s great to have returning characters from the original cast like the T. rex and B.D. Won . Fingers crossed for a Mr. DNA reference.
Also, the presence of the T. rex kind of makes me think that this new movie could be ramping up for an Indominus Rex versus T. rex fight. But only time will tell.
