In the last week, Venus and Jupiter were at their conjunction, and photographer Adam Tomaszewski took this fantastic picture of the pair. Look closely, and you can see Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto orbiting Jupiter.

And par for the course, a cold front came in early evening the 30th and clouded over my view of their closest approach or roughly 1/3rd of a degree separation.

A week or so before, class 4 geomagnetic storm with the chance of seeing the aurora, we had rain.
