Few non-superhero comic book characters are as iconic as Judge Dredd. I mean, the guy has had two movies made about him along with decades of great comics. Part of that is because, when John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra created the character in the late Seventies, his look was so unique and striking.

That look is highlighted as part of an operatic array of Dreddful violence in a new poster, coming out next week. Plus, it’s by one of Dredd’s co-creators in his first limited-edition screen print.

“When John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra created Judge Dredd, they created a character whose costume and look embodied everything that he stood for. An iconic character easily recognisible from silhouette alone,” said Vice in a press release. “Carlos Ezquerra is simply one of the greatest comic book artists in history and we grew up loving the characters that he created and drew. To work with Carlos Ezquerra was a dream come true. It was an honor and privilege to work with such a legend of the industry and we are extremely pleased with this piece.”
