It's the Guardians vs. Thanos in the First Trailer for Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy Game

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

Sure, the mad Titan himself might seem like the real enemy here, but really, the true enemy Peter Quill and the gang face is the universe’s slowest elevator ride.

After teasing it for quite some time, Telltale Games has released our first good look at their Guardians of the Galaxy adventure game, in the vein of their Batman or The Walking Dead titles, just... you know. In space.

The trailer doesn’t really offer much in the way of story beyond the obvious: Thanos has come to wreak havoc upon the Nova Force, and only the Guardians can help stop him, with the power of pure determination and some licensed pop music. So basically, it’s trying to ape the vibe of the movie—or Brian Michael Bendis’ post-movie comics, as much as it can. Hopefully beyond emulating that vibe, Telltale’s foray in the Marvel Universe can give us something as refreshingly free of the restraints of comics canon as their Batman series was.

The first of five episodes in the series, “Tangled Up in Blue”, will be available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac, and mobile devices for $5 April 18.

Is there any writer in the past 5 years who could not become more despised than Brian Michael Bendis?

All-New X-Men and Uncanny started out well enough, but became cluster fucks. Guardians just felt pointless. Invincible Iron Man was not.... good, and Civil War II was just pointless and uninteresting. Give more work to Al Ewing!
