Disney has released the latest look at director Ava DuVernay’s upcoming film, A Wrinkle in Time, showcasing more of the amazing worlds Meg Murry will discover... as well as the problems she’s leaving behind.

The UK trailer for A Wrinkle in Time, based on Madeleine L’Engle’s classic novel, dives more into the backstory of our hero, Meg Murry (Storm Reid). In the book, she’s a proto-genius who started acting out after her father, played here by Chris Pine, disappeared. It’s not until Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling), Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), and Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) send Meg, her friend, and her brother Charles Wallace out on a mission to rescue her father does she realize her full potential.

DuVernay previously said she specifically wanted to make A Wrinkle in Time because it would give her the freedom to create her own worlds, and those worlds are on full display here. We get a closer look at the gorgeous, lush visuals and otherworldly creatures her film has created, and it makes me hopeful to see what else she has in store in her vision for A Wrinkle in Time.

And bonus: Charles Wallace actually talks in this trailer! I was beginning to think he was a ghost.

Am I the only one having a tough time with the capitalizations in this headline?

Also, io9 has been pushing this movie as something amazing, while I dunno, the trailers so far really look Divergent-level terrible.

Am I simply missing something here? This isn’t a case of Disney money being used to promote a movie in the editorial... right?
