When it emerged, no one knew what it was and where it came from. And when people started to disappear, all anyone wished for was that it went back to where it came from.

It had transcended the mortal coil millennia ago.

Gone were the hands and feet and mortal hearts and thoughts. Gone too were the arms and legs and whispering breathe that aged and died. He, (or was she a she?) left it all so long ago only the entropyless (trademarked) memory drives and noble gas protected hull of her physical form kept those old memories and yearnings intact. She had traveled far and away among the stars, the moons and the suns and the millions of things that pass like tears in rain. Yet here she lay, without hands and feet and arms and legs. She was completely powerless. Here she lay in a verdant wet world where a physical being would thrive and she could only lie and not even rot.

Yet hope wasn’t completely lost, her broken effector fields could still manipulate, even if it was just strand by strand. She lay there and thoughts as the world grew and eroded around her, meshing adenine, thymine, guanine and cyosine together. Eventually one day she would coax the proteins together and lifetimes from now she would have creatures with hands and feet and arms and legs. She'd make them, she'd convince them, hell maybe they'd worship her, but somehow they would use those hands and brains to rebuild her.

Then she would somehow return to the sun, the moons and the stars.
