Dan Hipp of The Amazing Joy Buzzards has drafted this awesome fake cover to one of Tintin's never-was adventures. It looks like he's in for a rough time, but hey, he's been to R'lyeh and Innsmouth. He'll come up aces.

I bet in this book we learn that either Thomson or Thompson is a Weyland-Yutani android, see Captain Haddock go on a whiskey bender with a power loader ("Zillions of xenophobic overzealous xenomorphs!"), and witness Bianca Castafiore wield a flamethrower. I don't know if Tintin fits this idiom as well as when he faces something actually Lovecraftian in the mashup with Innsmouth—which is actually much closer to his era when Herge introduced the world to him in the late 20s.

Then again, Scott and O'Bannon's Alien, was consciously an attempt to update Lovecraft into modern science fiction movies, so maybe it does work. Never mind.
