Intruders Clip Brings Back John Simm To Scifi TV

We're really creeped out by the latest couple of teasers for BBC America's Intruders. Centered around a secret society searching for immortality by possessing the bodies of others, we're not sure what to expect from this series. But we are happy it's got Life on Mars and Doctor Who's John Simm!

From writer & executive producer Glen Morgan (The X-Files), this series is based on the novel by Michael Marshall Smith. Has anyone here read Intruders? Because we're dying to know more. Here's the official synopsis:

INTRUDERS is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. A contemporary, chilling, paranormal tale set in the moody Pacific Northwest, INTRUDERS spins a fascinating and complex web of drama. As strange, apparently unrelated events start happening, multiple story-lines — a missing wife, an assassin covering his crimes, a child on the run — begin to intertwine to reveal a conspiracy that will forever change our understanding of human nature.

And here's a previously released clip that actually shows the whole body possession thing.

Interesting, looks like the tone of the book is somewhere between his 'Michael Marshall Smith' stuff like Only Forward, and his "I'm a thriller writer called Michael Marshall now" stuff like The Straw Men.

I was a fan of his early stuff (despite the Peter F Hamilton-esque inability to end a book he had with Only Forward) but I found I also enjoyed his more thrillerier books too (that is an adjective now, I say so). I'm surprised I missed out on this one; I'll probably go and buy an ebook now.
