In comic stores tomorrow, it's ghosts and gem princesses

Here's a rundown of the first issues hitting stores this Wednesday. First off, there's Sword of Sorcery, a reboot of Amethyst: Princess of Gem World by Jem creator Christy Marx (interview here). The synopsis:

Amy Winston leads a strange life on the road with her mother. She's about to learn why it's all been necessary when she discovers she's the lost princess of Gemworld — and has powerful enemies hunting her.

Also debuting are The Pound: Ghoul's Night Out (preview here), Lobster Johnson: Caput Mortuum ("Hellboy's favorite gun-blazing vigilante takes justice to the skies this time by getting locked in spectral combat aboard a zeppelin!"), and Kelly Sue DeConnick and Phil Noto work on the supernatural Dark Horse book Ghost:

Former journalist Vaughn Barnes has been reduced to moonlighting as cameraman for the shoddy paranormal investigation cable TV show Phantom Finders. But when a curious device summons the specter of a beautiful, translucent woman, Vaughn is plunged into a mystery of criminal intrigue that spans two worlds!

There are also new issues of Godzilla: Half-Century War, Daredevil, Atomic Robo and The Flying She-Devils of The Pacific, Atomic Robo: Real Science Adventures, The Walking Dead, Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Spike, Batwoman, Dark Horse Presents, Before Watchmen: Nite Owl, Captain Atom (preview here), Battle Beasts (preview here), Wonder Woman, Fables, and The Unwritten.

In terms of bookshelf material, there's a collection of David Gibbons' Doctor Who stories, the third hardcover collections of Mark Waid's run on Daredevil and 100 Bullets, and the second paperback of Greg Rucka's Punisher run. UDON is also publishing the Marvel Versus Capcom art book. And as usual, here's the list of everything being released to comic stores tomorrow, and you can find your nearest comic retailer here. Happy reading, gang!
