Hugh Jackman Wants Wolverine in The Avengers. Which Is Never Happening

Never. Never ever. Never ever ever. Fox is never letting go of The X-Men, so this will never happen. But if Hugh Jackman really wants a look at how his Wolverine would interact with the Marvel movieverse, well, that's what fanfic is for.

Hugh Jackman has gone from being 99.9% sure he'd be done with this character after The Wolverine's sequel, to saying he may come back for more because he liked Days of Future Past so much, to now inventing impossible movies he'd like to be Wolverine in. He's going to die still playing Wolverine, isn't he?

The video above also stems from an IGN interview where Jackman said:

I would love to see him as part of The Avengers. Because there's a great dysfunction among that team, and I think Wolverine would fit right into that. He'd like that.

There's no doubt he'd get in a fight with Hulk at some point. Those two bad, rage-filled characters are going to square off at some point. It would be quite fun. I don't know how much fun to shoot it would be because I'm sure I'd be on the worst end of it, but hey, he can heal.

Veras Gunn

I don't know about that, there's a slim chance of possibility. At one point The Avenger was supposed to feature the Oscorp building from The Amazing Spider-Man, but production on TASM had not progressed far enough for the design to be integrated into the Avengers so it couldn't be done. We've also seen a trailer for X-men: DoFP show up after TASM2, although that was because of Mark Webb's contract.

Still, if the studios sat down, worked something out so everyone got a fair shake it does seem entirely possible. Disney/Marvel gets to use some of its most popular characters, Sony and/or Fox get some some of that sweet sweet MCU green.

I know, I know, hopeless optimist.
