I’ve been to Hiroshima. It’s a chilling experience to stand at the detonation point.

These were a totally unnecessary acts for ending the war. Japan was at its knees and all it would have taken to get them to surrender was swift landing party at strategic points. And it would have been over.

But we desperately needed to waggle our cock at the Russians.
