Looks as though the magically animated teddy bear gets his party on, big time, in Seth MacFarlane's Ted, judging from a dozen high-res photos that just came out. There is something about the sight of a teddy bear in a suit, or a teddy bear on a couch with four hot babes, that leaves you thinking this could have some very funny moments. As to whether it can sustain the joke for 90+ minutes... the jury's still out.

And here's a brand new extended synopsis, that came out along with these new high-res photos:

In the live-action/CG-animated comedy, MacFarlane tells the story of John Bennett (MARK WAHLBERG of The Other Guys, Contraband), a grown man whose simple childhood wish brought his cherished teddy bear to life. Almost 30 years later, the fairy tale is very much over. Ted is reluctant to leave John's side…to the increasing annoyance of John's only-so-patient girlfriend, Lori Collins (MILA KUNIS of Friends With Benefits, Black Swan).

Though Lori's displeasure with John is exacerbated by his dead-end career and days spent smoking weed and drinking beers with Ted, she's not the one who is the most frustrated with him. As John struggles to figure out a way to navigate this thing called adulthood, it will take the unexpected help of his boyhood toy to make the leap from man-child to a grown-ass man.

The biggest mystery: Why does nobody ever mention Max Payne when listing Mark Wahlberg's credits?

Does anyone else think the woman in those (with dark hair, appearing in a couple of shots which both have drinks in) looks a bit like an alien? I don't mean it in a cruel way - she just looks a bit unusual for a human. I actually notice this about a lot of women considered attractive by a lot of men, in the media and IRL. I have an unusually low sex drive, but I wonder about whether atypical features could trigger some sort of attraction in people with regular sex drives (when in combination with the 'important' features matching the person's specification). Maybe it indicates breadth of gene pool or something?
