Morning SpoilersIf there’s news about upcoming movies and television you’re not supposed to know, you’ll find it in here.

James Gunn confirms some major absentees from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. The cast of The Walking Dead teases a sickening finale to the current season. Episode VIII begins filming. Plus, Once Upon a Time casts kid versions of its cast, and a familiar face returns to Arrow. To me, my Spoilers!

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2

James Gunn has delved into the movie once more with a Q&A hosted on his Facebook account. Gunn covered several topics, such as:

  • Getting to spend more time in this movie with Nebula (Karen Gillen) and Yondu (Michael Rooker)
  • a new female member of the Guardians—presumably the long-rumored Mantis
  • weighing his option to direct a third film in the saga.

But perhaps the most interesting was a hard confirmation that neither Thanos nor the Infinity Gems, the connective tissue glueing the Marvel movies together, will appear in the film:

Thanos will not appear in ‘Vol. 2.’ No... As I’ve said before, Thanos isn’t in this movie. I think he’s gonna have a little bit to do and say when it comes to a certain wars and infinity. We’ve got other fish to fry in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.’

... We’re not really so much about the Infinity Stones in ‘Guardians 2.’ Is that a spoiler? It’s not really a thing.

The Walking Dead

Andrew Lincoln reveals his volatile reaction to the season six finale:

I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script. It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it.

Lauren Cohan backs him up, stating filming the finale was her hardest day on set.

[Hearing] the word ‘finale’ gives me a physical reaction because it’s the hardest day on set that I’ve ever had in my life. I never even imagined that as an actor you could have that experience. It’s one of the most raw experiences that I think any of us have ever had. Andy talks about being late to work; I didn’t want to go to work that day. It took a really, really long time for everybody to feel okay again after the finale, let’s put it that way.
