Illustration for article titled Heres Another Glimpse of Mutant Dan Stevens on the X-Men TV Series iLegion/i

In May, we got a look at Dan Stevens looking more moody than superpowered in the above first publicity still for Legion, the forthcoming show from Noah Hawley (Fargo) about the X-Men character of the same name. Now Hawley’s shared a photo of Stevens, as David “Legion” Haller, looking a bit more agitated.

Is this David in the psychiatric hospital where he goes to puzzle over the weird things he’s been seeing and hearing, not realizing they are the results of his being a mutant (and, in the comics at least, being the son of Professor X)?

The eight-episode FX miniseries exists in a different universe than that of the X-Men movies, so don’t go hoping for a Patrick Stewart cameo on Legion. You can, however, expect to see Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Rachel Keller, and others pop up alongside Stevens when the show airs early next year.
