Star Trek 3

Simon Pegg has further discussed Idris Elba’s role in the next movie, confirming his involvement but stating that he’s playing a new character, rather than a necessarily familiar one:

This is a five-year mission now, we’re out there. We don’t always have to keep bumping into the same people. It’s a massive universe […] so we’re going to try to reflect that in the movie.

Batman v. Superman

Henry Cavill says the movie is its own thing, rather than a sequel to Man of Steel:

“I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel,” Cavill stated in an interview with MTV. “This is Batman versus Superman. It’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character and expanding upon the universe, which was kicked off by ’Man of Steel.’” Cavill revealed that he’s only seen the footage in the trailer so far, so the film’s final tone is still up in the air. “Everything could change in the editing room, but as it stands, it’s an introduction of the character,” continued Cavill. “And ultimately, the introduction of Justice League.”

Executive producer Bruno Heller tells Entertainment Weekly about Fish Mooney’s upcoming war with the Penguin, and the state of the cast at the end of the season. There’s also first look at Fish’s new look upon her return to Gotham:

“She’s not inclined to show mercy,” Heller says. And we’ll see a spectacular face-off with former protégé the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). “The conflict between them has been simmering all year, and this is the final showdown on the rooftops of Gotham,” he says.

Though fans expect Mooney to meet her maker (Pinkett Smith says she won’t be back next season), Heller warns to expect the unexpected. “Gotham is a crazy place. When you think something is going to happen the way you expect it to, things turn around,” he says. “Not withstanding what anyone has said in the press, you can’t ever be sure about that stuff until you see what happens.” Of this you can be sure: Gotham will end its freshman run with “a very iconic moment.”

Colton Haynes may have seemingly departed the show, but he’ll return briefly in the penultimate episode of Season 3, according to Marc Guggenheim:

Thea was too busy getting ‘killed’ by Ra’s to say goodbye to Roy. So we owed the audience some closure for this love story.
