Hell Yeah, Sharlto Copley Will Lead The Powers TV Series

We've had a bevy of casting news for Sony's adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's comic already, but today comes the big one: Elysium's Sharlto Copley will be the superhero-related homicide investigator Christian Walker, while Michelle Forbes will play the superheroine Retro girl.

Copley joins Susan Heyward as Deena Pilgrim, the two main stars of the show. And best known for her recent work on the critical hit The Killing, Forbes' Retro Girl is a major character in the comic's and presumably TV series' first main storyarc, titled "Who Killed Retro Girl?" I think you can see where this is going.

As we mentioned earlier today, other recently named characters include the "Powers" Calista, Johnny Royale, and Wolfe, played by Eddie Izzard. It looks like Powers has officially become must-see TV when it debuts in December — assuming you have a Sony PlayStation, where it's airing exclusively.

Not that I have a problem with Copley the actor, but, couldn't they have found someone... big and built... to play Christian? He's supposed to look like he was a big, tough superhero once. What gives?

(EDIT) Uh... it's only on Playstation? Never mind, then... F it up all ya want.
