Grandparents Are Monsters In Trailer For M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

M. Night Shyamalan gets into (at least partially) found footage-style horror with his new film The Visit. In the trailer, we meet the brother and sister who go to Nana and Papa’s house — only to learn that something very, very weird is going on with their grandparents.

Shyamalan wrote and directed The Visit, which Yahoo! Movies says will be a PG-13 horror flick. So are the grandparents aliens? Cannibals? The witch from Hansel and Gretel and her husband? Of course, the greatest twist we can hope for is for Shyamalan to deliver a solid movie with some genuine scares.

The Visit is due in theaters on September 11, 2015.

Capt. Janeway's Imaginary Cat

Which movie did you finally lose complete faith in M. Night?

I bought into the hype of his genius and I still think The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs showed that he could make compelling movies but: The Village made me doubt enough to skip Lady in the Water and then The Happening was the one that made me realize that he will could never be considered as one of the best in Hollywood. I still remember leaving the theater thinking that I defended him even through Signs and The Village and The Happening was the one where I had no answer to the critics. He is going to make one of the most interesting case-studies in film school.

Also this trailer looks like crap. If anything, he had some sense of style, now he is relegated to doing some found-footage nonsense.
