We love Hugo Award-winning artist Bob Eggleton's art in general, but his kaiju and dragon images — at least one of which appeared in a Tokyo gallery show — melt our brains with their atomic breath of awesomeness.

It's well worth checking out all of the art over at Eggleton's blog, Bob's Art Du Jour — including his take on the "floating islands" concept made famous by Avatar Roger Dean. He's also done concept art for Jimmy Neutron and The Ant Bully. But here are a few of our favorite images of giant monsters, dinosaurs and dragons from his blog.
