First U.S. trailer for the Let The Right One In remake is stylish, sledge-hammery

Let The Right One In was one of the great horror films of the past decade, and we've been nervous about a U.S. remake by Cloverfield director Matt Reeves. This splashy first trailer doesn't exactly ease our fears.

Trailers are misleading, of course, and that's part of the fun of them. But this just feels way too sledge-hammery, as though all the ambiguity and tangled morality of the Swedish original has been tossed aside, to make room for "Something Wicked Lives." Let's hope that it's just a bad first impression.

I'm not very knowledgeable on copyright laws, so maybe someone else could enlighten me, but why did they change the name? To me, this new name has an entirely different connotation. The other stood as a warning, while this is a demand. I'm not a purist for remakes or anything, but it's just too much of a difference in meaning there.
