First Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer Brings Back A Few Familiar Mutated Faces

Milla Jovovich is back and kicking ass as Alice, along with a few old friends like Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), the K-Mart girl, a few Alice clones and the big bad Umbrella Corp villain Albert Wesker. Check out the action.

So clearly the new sunglass-sporting baddie is Albert Wesker. Fans of the video game will remember this massive character and fans of the last movie will remember Wesker from his brief, hologram appearance. In which Alice told him she was going after him, with her new clone army. In the film you see the first side-by-side Alice show down. But where did the rest of them go? To clean up the countryside maybe? Also this trailer seems to address what happened to the "lets go to Alaska" plan. The coats, lakes and landed helicopter seems to suggest they went there, and left. But why? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Here's the official synopsis:

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead - and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is set to hit theaters September 10, 2010.

I only saw the first one (@ Grauman's), but now I think I need to check out the next two, because this one looks all manner of awesome!

And it seems they're making damn sure everyone knows that it's the Cameron/Pace camera system, and not that retro-dimensional crap.
