Illustration for article titled First look at George Lucas CG cameo in Clone Wars

Check out George Lucas' blue mug in the latest Clone Wars episode! Lucas is reprising his role as Baron Papanoida, a character he portrayed in Revenge of the Sith. But in Clone Wars he's much more... agile. See for yourself!

Sadly, George Lucas didn't voice this character. Instead Clone Wars voice actor Corey Burton will be attempting to make this Lucas clone sound more like Orson Welles' Harry Lime, from The Third Man, according to the Clone Wars press release. Too bad, we'd love to hear the mild-mannered Lucas voice unleashed!

Here's the official synopsis for the special episode on Friday Oct. 1st:

When Pantoran Chairman Papanoida's family is kidnapped and held for ransom, Ahsoka Tano must team up with Senator Riyo Chuchi to aid the new chairman in recovering his family. It's a journey deep into the dark underbelly of the Coruscant crime scene, with an unlikely – and immediately recognizable – protagonist painted into a corner and forced into action in "Sphere of Influence," an all-new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
