We're pretty excited about Timur Bekmambetov's moon mystery movie Apollo 18. If the ominous tagline doesn't pull you in, this alien footprint (presumably on the Moon) poster should. Take a closer look.

IGN has the first exclusive poster from the Bekmambetov produced and directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego. The movie will be shot shaky-cam style as all of the alleged Moon footage is "found" from the lost crew of Apollo 18. From the look of the poster, the doomed crew most likely had an unfortunate close encounter.

The film will be out March 4th 2011.

I don't know why, but I watched two movies by Timur Bekmambetov (Nightwatch and Wanted) and found both to be boring and confused (not confusig, just confused) .

I don't know if it's because I'm unfamiliar with the usual aesthetic and "code" of Russian cinema, but I found out that, in both movies, scenes that should have been long and drawn out were rushed and scene that should have been fast-paced were drawn out almost indefinitely. Which make for very destabilizing viewing experiences and movies that didn't quite hold together.

So, I'm very sorry, but I can't get excited for this movie. I'll probably skip it.
