Imagine if Ridley Scott's Alien had never actually gotten made, and all we had to go on to imagine the film was the concept art by H.R. Giger and others. Like Jodorowsky's Dune. We would still know we were looking at something incredibly special, as this Giger concept art proves.

Nicely printed cards of this concept art are being included with the 35th anniversary Alien Blu-Ray set that's coming out soon, and Yahoo! Movies has a gallery of all the images. These are "the original paintings that Giger presented to director Ridley Scott" before the film got off the ground, according to Yahoo!. I've definitely seen some of the images before, but I think some of them are new to me.

To see the full set, head over to Yahoo! Movies.
