Egyptian Rim? Fox just ordered 13 episodes of Hieroglyph, an adventure show set in ancient Egypt featuring "magic, gods and goddesses," from Pacific Rim writer Travis Beacham. Hieroglyph follows "a notorious thief who is plucked from prison to serve the Pharoah," encountering a world of concubines, conspirators and sorcerers.
Oh, I love me some ancient egypt. I hope it goes with the mysticial, pulp-inspired version, and not necessarily the historically accurate one. As long as they are honest with the style they are using, of course.
Either way, you'll be able to tell the villain easily because evil ancient egyptians are always (mostly) bald. Never noticed that?
