Filming for season three of Game of Thrones is well underway, and apparently the Croatia filming is almost over. The latest set photos hint at a scene that isn't in George R.R. Martin's book A Storm of Swords — one that involves Tywin Lannister talking to Grand Maester Pycelle. Alone.

At the very least, the two actors appear to be the only stars on set for this sequence. And Charles Dance (Tywin) is wearing some extremely fetching leather pants. The top photo is of Dance and Julian Glover (Pycelle) relaxing between takes — here are a few shots of the actual filming, which seems to involve Tywin rigging up a makeshift fishing apparatus, and Pycelle doing something involving a bit of pomp and circumstance:

As others have said, that wouldn't be anything particularly new. They've had quite a few scenes in the show so far that weren't in the books (as well as some scenes that were referred to but never explicitly shown) in addition to any other number of changes they've made.
