Despicable Me Director Reveals What Your Pets Do While You're Away

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

The trailer for the upcoming animated movie The Secret Life of Pets feels like a short film unto itself. See for yourself how dogs, cats, and other critters entertain themselves while their human companions are off at work. Where can we get one of those head-banging poodles?

Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, No Time for Nuts) and Yarrow Cheney are co-directing The Secret Life of Pets, which features the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, and Albert Brooks. Here’s the summary from IMDB:

Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max’s life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners.

The movie looks fun based on the trailer, but it’s still a ways off, hitting theaters July 8th, 2016.
