Ant-Man and The Wasp

Paul Rudd discusses the ease of his working relationship with Marvel, while looking ahead to the sequel:

It’s been very easy. Marvel’s been great, as far as if I have something else and they’ll work around it. It’s not like I’m working on a series which might be a little trickier as far as schedule. I worked on Civil War and I didn’t really work on it for very long, but as far as Ant-Man 2, I already know when that’s going to go, so you just kind of plan accordingly. If anything comes along that I can film before or after and it works out time-wise and it makes sense, Marvel’s been supportive.

Avengers: Infinity War

Meanwhile in more “Actors working with Marvel speak highly of Marvel” news, Josh Brolin discusses the process of becoming Thanos for his cinematic appearances.

It’s not voice work, it’s mo-cap. I’m there. I’m there and I’m not in a booth. I’m being filmed. I have a bunch of crap on my face. [laughs] I’m being filmed by like thirty-four cameras? Thirty-six cameras? Something like that. Every movement, everything. So, it’s very new to me, it’s very exciting, it’s very unnerving. But I sure trust these guys! You know? We’re supposed to get together very soon to talk about the trajectory of Thanos in the next few years and it’s very exciting. It’s one of the better decisions I think I’ve made.

Dwayne Johnson took to instagram to announce that the monster-brawling video game adaptation would be penned by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal.

Speaking to IGN, Clancy Brown elucidates on his character, Orcish Warchief Blackhand—and why the orcs in Warcraft are better than Tolkein’s.

They’re similar to the Lord of the Rings orcs, except tougher and better looking and smarter and in every way better than the Lord of the Rings guys.

He uses whatever is available to him because he’s a warrior through and through. He favors a battle claw, a shredding claw kind of thing. He uses a hammer sometimes, I don’t think it’s real specific. He’s a warrior. He’s just a big, tough Orc, the biggest and toughest.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2

Chris Pratt teases his return to the franchise for rehearsals by showing off his copy of the titular Volume 2 of the Awesome Mix.

Despite being banned in China, Deadpool would like to wish you a happy Chinese New Year in a new TV spot.

Teen Titans

After the recent cancellation of TNT’s Titan TV show, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns clarified to TV Line that the company still has plans for a live-action adaptation:

We [at DC] have known about [Turner nixing Titans] for months and months and months. That’s not new news to us. We have plans for Titans, it’s a huge piece of DC and we have plans.

Recently, there were rumors that the standalone Cyborg movie could be reworked into a Teen Titans teamup, but there’s a possibility that Johns’ plans include a potential TV show for the supergroup.

The Muppets

New showrunner Kristen Newman describes how she wants to turn around the flailing show:

I came in for episode 10, which was the Christmas episode that aired before the break, and Day 1 of work was rewriting Piggy-Kermit scenes to really bring that connection back.

The heart of the whole franchise has always been Piggy and Kermit, and I think breaking them up was really smart. There’s always more story to be told and more tension when two people who love each other are apart instead of together. But what’s important to remember is that they do love each other, and that was being walked away from completely.

The human threat is obviously from the network because they work on a TV show. He is a branding guru named Pache… and he has rebranded warlords and network presidents and he has a lot of slick ideas and it’s all about new, new, new and slick, slick, slick, which is not The Muppets. The Muppets are all about joy and zaniness and heart and the way that they have to fight this bad guy is by binding together. They’re going to bring the people who have been backstage on Up Late With Miss Piggy, doing more sketches and bits and bringing more joy back to her show.
