30 Days Of Night director David Slade is going to direct the third Twilight movie Eclipse. Thus moving from actually scary vamps to sparkle vampire motion.

Summit announced that David Slade would be taking over the hit series with Eclipse. So do you think Slade can butch up these fey vampires, and maybe get them to actually kill people on screen as opposed to hinting at a murder in a blurry off camera shot? Probably not, but maybe at last this'll lead to some amazing "The day the 30 Days Of Night vampires game to Washington and killed everyone" fanfic.

Official Synopsis of Eclipse:

In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

In other news, a movie version of the final book in the series, Breaking Dawn, has been given the green light.

Oh, I like Twilight. I shouldn't be in the minority here, because vampirism is supposed to be sexy.
