In Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries, players guide Red Riding Hood through mazes and puzzles while battling steampunk soldiers and fairy tale menaces. Check out this gallery of concept art that shows off the game's distinctive, Anton Pieck-inspired aesthetic.
Belgian studio GRIN is developing Woolfe for a variety of platforms, with an ongoing Kickstarter to help fund bigger ideas and additional game systems, like a way for Red to harness magical wolf powers. The developers let me play an early build of the game that showed off the intricate, textured in-game art style. Then they shared some exclusive concept art that offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the game's visuals were developed.
The art book, which is a potential bonus for certain Kickstarter backers, contains quite a bit more concept art than this. Future stretch goals might include a tabletop RPG based on the world of Woolfe, or 3D figures of the characters.
Finally, here are some screenshots showing off the art as it appears in the game.
