And here is a picture of James Frain (True Blood) as the millionaire supervillain "Chess." Get it? His eyes are chess pieces. Gross!

We've got a soft spot in our hearts for ridiculous caricature villains, so these fellas are right up our alley, check out more pics at AICN. But that's not all - Mena Suvari, is supposedly starring in a guest role as the character "Dice." What do you want to bet she's got freckles all over her body like that of a dice? Oh and she's good at tumbling!

And finally here's a little clip from the series.

Great casting, and it's awesome to see some real supervillains for a change (one of the biggest things missing from superhero shows), but really io9- you have got to stop getting excited about things that's got stink on 'em. Anyone could have seen The Event was a desperate, empty grab at the Lost crowd, Moon seemed like it was going to be cool but it really wasn't, plus one more thing you liked* that turned out to be crap (I'm busy).

I'll watch this with the kids, but when you look at the star of the show, you can see this is going the way of that awful Syfy Phantom show.

*Vampire Diaries? I haven't watched it, but c'mon- it's got to be bad, right?
