When I was a kid, I asked my dad what the scariest movie was that he'd ever seen. "Five Million Years to Earth," he replied instantly — it was the American name for the British film version of Quatermass and the Pit. Later he and I watched it together, and it was entirely amazing, despite being in black and white and having slightly goofy-looking aliens. I liked imagining my dad as a kid in the 1950s freaking out as he watched the movie.
