Chris Carter's Amazon Series The After Is Over

Amazon is walking away from the X-Files creator's latest TV series, The After.

Variety is reporting that Chris Carter's weird Amazon series is no more. Amazon is walking away from its original plan to fund an entire series. Not super surprising, as the pilot debuted last February and yielded not great reviews.

The premise was large and had an even larger cast: "Eight strangers are thrown together by mysterious forces and must help each other survive in a violent world that defies explanation." We didn't get to explore this world too much, and it looks like we may never get to chance to revisit this odd world Carter created.
