We have an absolutely insane collection of Jupiter Ascending concept art that shows completely different concepts for the already astounding characters designed for this space odyssey. The Wachowski's original vision for Balem (Eddie Redmayne) was bananas.

Created by Aaron Sims Company, a concept design and visual effects studio in Los Angeles, you can see a lot of early story elements in these images that were later cut or omitted. For example the look of Balem Abrasax and his younger sister (gorgeous, gorgeous work), a furry baby Caine and a much furrier-faced version of wolf human splice, new visuals for the dinosaur people, Stinger and a lot of art featuring his diseased daughter Kiza (who may or may not have had a much larger role just based on her presence in this collection of art).

A very Steve Buscemi-looking Chicanery Night (the rat-looking assistant type). This character was eventually played by Edward Hogg.
