British actor Imogen Poots joins this remake, playing the girlfriend of Anton Yelchin's protagonist. She's a popular girl who doesn't realize that Yelchin's character used to be a geek. Also starring are Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Yelchin's character is convinced his next-door neighbor (Farrell) is a vampire. [Heat Vision]

This film will be filming in Milwaukee, at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Tower Automotive site. They're seeking extras who can play "trendy executive" types. Could this be related to Sam's new job? [TFLAMB]

Cowboys & Aliens:

Jon Favreau tweeted another photo from this film's set, showing the Western town under the night sky.

More details about the role Alexander Skarsgard will play. He's the brother of Taylor Kitsch's character, "a straight and narrow naval officer whom Kitsch, a wildly spirited naval officer, idolizes." [Slashfilm]

The Twilight Saga:

How do you break this book into two movies? Writer Melissa Rosenberg explains:

I'm doing first drafts now. But I think it comes down to Bella as human and Bella as vampire. ("Breaking Dawn" director) Bill Condon may give you a different answer, but I think it's a natural break. There's her as a human with the baby and everything and then there's her as a parent and a vampire.

And a new clip, plus a featurette and a TV spot.

Doctor Who:

It's not exactly a spoiler as such, but here's an interesting post picking up on all the hidden "fairytale" images and threads in the first 12 episodes of the season, and speculating a bit on how they'll play out in the finale. [Life, Doctor Who & Combom]

The fourth episode of the season will be called "Weekend At Bobby's." Hope that doesn't mean what I think it means. [SpoilerTV]

Also, according to Jim Beaver's Twitter, Bobby is in the third episode of the season, which is the first to be filmed, starting in 12 days. (This is the one that Jensen Ackles is directing.) [SpoilerTV]

The Walking Dead:

IronE Singleton (The Blind Side) has been added to the cast as T-Dog. [IAE Magazine]

Also joining the cast: Linds Edwards, playing the new character Leon Basset, and Jim Coleman, playing the new character Lambert "Lam" Kendal. Chandler Riggs has also joined up, playing Carl Grimes. And Emma Bell will play a college student who takes shelter with Rick Grimes. She may be the sister of Andrea, the sharpshooter who's in her mid-20s in the comics but will be played by the slightly older Laurie Holden in the TV version. Terra Nova:

More details about Jason O'Mara's role in this Spielberg-produced time travel show. O'Mara's character, Jim Shannon, is an everyman with a dangerous quality underneath, says showrunner Brannon Braga. And apparently this show is about "humans from the year 2149 who are forced to find a way to save the human race — and discover a rip in the time-space continuum that can send them back to pre-human Earth." [Variety]

Being Human:

Eastenders' Lacey Turner will guest star in the season opener. Says Turner:

It was fantastic working on Being Human, I had some great scenes with Aidan Turner, especially when his character Mitchell is facing up to some of the things he has done in the past. The cast and crew were really welcoming and I can't wait to watch how the story comes together on screen when the series airs.

As the season opens, the gang has moved permanently to Wales to try and get some normality after the dramatic climax of the second season. But their fresh start is marred by the loss of Annie, who manages to contact Mitchell with a cry for help. Mitchell has to enter purgatory to get Annie back, with the help of Lacey Turner's character, Lia. [SFX]

The pilot for The CW's new series contains a startling twist that may give this reboot a new lease on life. The evil Division and its perpetually in training new recruits may remind you a bit of Dollhouse at times. Maggie Q does a great job of playing a tortured avenger. [Fancast]

What's ahead for Tara? Rutina Wesley says:

I think we're gonna see her struggle a bit to find herself and her identity, but I think eventually there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Definitely, there has to be.

WIFE: Yeah, why?

ME: Why would the birthing scene be hard to film?

WIFE: Because of what Edward had to do so the little girl would be born?

ME: What was that?

WIFE: He had to bite through the womb.
