Blaxsploitation meets True Blood in a blisteringly weird short movie

This short film is the most gleefully bizarre thing I've seen in a while. Written and directed by Kevin Killebrew, A Killer Surprise is about a badass detective hunting an eeeeeevil serial killer. When they meet, things get seriously funky.

I love the way this film switches crazily between fairy-dust effects, anime-influenced cartoons, and live action. Fighting and monster babies and superpowers and righteous wrath and a groovy 1970s aesthetic! Also, seriously what the hell is happening. Maybe you can figure it out.

This was terrible. The acting was stilted and the dialogue was labourious. The animated part was fun, but other than that, this probably looked a lot better on paper than it ever could on film.
