Want to be seen alongside Anton Yelchin, David Tennant, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse in the upcoming vampire-next-door flick Fright Night? If you can make it to the American southwest, filmmakers need a bunch of extras ranging from vampires to nerds.

Fright Night (which stars Colin Farrell as the is-he-or-isn't-he vampire) will be shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 7/26-10/01. Even though the film is being filmed in Albuquerque, it takes place in Las Vegas.

Here's the casting description from OnLocationVacations:

If you're interested in becoming an extra on the film, On Location Casting is looking for all types to appear as background actors in the film, no previous experience is necessary. They are looking for some specific types too, including 18+ year olds to look like younger high school students, 16 to 17 year olds, various high school clique types: nerds, jocks, cheerleaders, asians, stoners, etc., teacher types with professional attire, parents of high school students, Las Vegas Showgirls, poker players, vampire types, and more.

If you're interested, you can fill out a talent application at On Location Casting. It might be good to cover all the bases and diversify your look (i.e. Bauhaus t-shirt + showing up to casting stoned + pom-pons = vampire pothead cheerleader).

Why do the only big-budget movies filmed where I live and asking for extras is Battlefield:Earth? Why? (I'm not kidding. I know a few people who are extra in this movie. They don't regret it - they got to meet John Travolta.)

If I were anywhere near there, I would be a high-school nerd. I'm 22, but I can easily look like 16, I've got glasses and I'm ultra-skinny.
