Guillermo Del Toro’s Crimson Peak is just jam packed with amazing visuals. If you want a look at some of that stunning imagery close up, you’re in luck: Crimson Peak: The Art of Darkness is out this week, and we’re exclusively revealing some gorgeous pictures from it—well as giving away a copy signed by Del Toro, too!
Written by Mark Salisbury, Insight Edition’s The Art of Darkness goes behind the scenes on the creation of Del Toro’s new gothic romance, with exclusive interviews from the cast and crew (including Del Toro, Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam) as well as the artists that designed the costumes, sets, and props for the movie. As well as a ton of stills from filming, the book contains design art, and in-universe bits of character detail and background for the film, including letters, daguerrotype photographs, and a booklet about the outfits in the movie.
Take a look at the cover of the book, as well as some stills and art featured inside, making their debut exclusively here on io9 below:
Crimson Peak: The Art of Darkness is out now, but let’s be honest: how cool would it be to have your own copy signed by Guillermo Del Toro himself? We’ve got two copies of the book, signed by Del Toro, to give away. All you have to do is sign up for Insight Editions’ newsletter to have a chance of winning, which you can do so by following this link. Winners will be informed by Insight via Email. Good luck!
