James Cameron is reportedly opening up a new base of operations at the MBS Media Campus in Manhattan Beach. Early rumors report that he will rent up to a sixth of the lot's total 580,000 feet of soundstages and office space. MBS was most recently used for the Asgard sequences in Thor. Man of Steel

Newly announced General Zod portrayer Michael Shannon candidly discussed how he got the part. He says Zack Snyder wouldn't show him the script, but he gave him a scene-by-scene description of the movie and then had him test with Superman actor Henry Cavill. Green Lantern

It's still not official, but Michael Clarke Duncan is reportedly now in negotiations to voice the Green Lantern drill sergeant Kilowog. [Reuters]

The Dark Knight Rises

Three actors are reportedly in line for some minor roles. The most familiar name is probably that of Burn Gorman, who played Torchwood's occasionally lovable asshole Owen Harper in the first two seasons. No word on who he would play, but "Rescue Me" costar Daniel Sunjata is reportedly in talks to play a special forces operative, while Diego Klattenhoff has reportedly been offered the part of a rookie cop. The post-credits scene makes it pretty clear that Loki WILL appear in The Avengers. I think it's worth looking out for Stellan Skarsgaard on the cast list...!

The Dark Tower

Mark Verheiden has now reportedly teamed up with his A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code co-writer Akiva Goldsman to write the movie trilogy and its tie-in mini-series. [Deadline]


Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Rufus Sewell will reportedly play Adam, the evil leader of the vampires that Lincoln spends his life fighting. [Variety]


Men in Black 3

Here are some new set photos showing off stars Will Smith and Josh Brolin filming the 1960s segments of this time-travel movie. []



Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski's scifi action movie is reportedly close to finding a new home after Disney let it go. Universal is reportedly close to picking up the project, and Tom Cruise is reportedly attached as the lead. [The Hollywood Reporter]



Here's a new trailer for Paul Bettany's post-apocalyptic vampire movie.

The Crow

Bradley Cooper is reportedly in early talks to play the title character in the non-reboot of the 1994 Brandon Lee movie. It was just announced that 28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has come on board to direct, but it's unknown what if any script the project currently has. [Deadline]


Doctor Who

In this clip from the wonderfully strange talk show Fern, Michael Sheen confirms he has a voice-over role in "The Doctor's Wife", but he doesn't offer any further hints. [Blogtor Who]

True Blood

A set report claims that one of the show's stages is being filled with dirt, while another is filled with dead animal carcasses, as though one of the creatures on the show is about to go on the hunt. [E! Online]

"We will certainly be seeing a lot of white, taffeta, some silk and some flower boutonnières and all that sort of stuff." Sounds like things are about to get fancy!

Isn't voice recording usually done BEFORE the effects work so they can get the lip sync right? Also, does it not seem a little odd that the role hasn't even been cast when the film is weeks from release? Hmm...
