Merrill is the co-founder of Food52, a cooking and cooks' website. She graduated from both Le Cordon Bleu and from Brown, and has done stints at Cook's Illustrated, behind the counter at Boston's Flour Bakery, and as the food editor for Herb Quarterly. Along with Food52's other co-founder Amanda Hesser, she also worked on The Essential New York Times Cookbook.
