Ooh! Ooh! In response, I never read the table of contents in a sci-fi novel. I've written enough table of contents for tech papers that I don't ever wanna read a ToC for a novel.

Heh, I remembered thinking that the Primo ratings were exactly like an app store environment. It's eerily precognitive. The sheer volume of ridiculous bio/logic programs available reminded me of iFart and the like. *shiver*

And trying to answer everyone's question on "WHY IS THIS MENTIONED?" - it's a trilogy. It gets all gooshy and crazy and most stuff is explained by the end.
