The first photo of the full Alien Covenant crew was revealed Tuesday, with the news that a teaser will be seen during Wednesday’s episode of Legion. Which is great, but we wanted to break down this photo a bit more.

It’s messy. There’s food, drinks, a dancing hula girl, packs of cigarettes, an ice cream sandwich, and a bottle of whiskey, just to name a few things. Maybe this is all bait so that the Alien doesn’t eat everyone, which is totally going to happen.

So from left to right you’ve got: Daniels, played by Katherine Waterston; a character played by Upstream Color’s Amy Seimetz; a couple played by Alexander England and an actress I can’t quite place; actor Nathaniel Dean; Oscar-nominee Demián Bichir, James Franco wrapped in a blanket (he’s totally going to be the Kane here and die first, and horribly, right?); Danny McBride; possibly actor Uli Latukefu; a character played by Benjamin Bigby; Blair Witch star Callie Hernandez; Empire breakout Jussie Smollett; Selma co-star Carmen Ejogo; Almost Famous’ Billy Crudup; and then Walter, played by Michael Fassbender.

“Walter?” You ask. Well, yes. Fassbender has confirmed that he’s playing two androids in the film. And since Noomi Rapace’s character, Elizabeth Shaw, isn’t in this photo, you have to assume David, the other survivor of Prometheus, is with her and this is the second one, Walter.

We have bad news for everyone in this photo. With the exception of Daniels, I’m almost sure you are going to die. Though, would it be too obvious for the Ripley character to survive?

We’ll have more on Alien: Covenant when the new trailer drops and leading to its release May 19.

Am I the only one that just has zero interest in this thing? Like, I love Scott. He’s a fine director with real talent and I’m sure the movie won’t be terrible, but I saw the trailer for Covenant, and it just felt like another by-the-numbers Alien movie. Crew goes some place, finds spooky stuff, alien monster shows up, everyone but 1-2 folks die.

I don’t know. Maybe this will surprise me when it comes out.
