The cast members of True Blood and showrunner Alan Ball gathered on stage at the Television Critics Association to answer your questions about which were-panther is shtupping whom.

Ball announced his return to True Blood for a fifth season, but was pretty cagey about a 6th or 7th, according to the After Ellen report, saying:

Well, everything ends. I mean, there will be an end for me on this show at some point. But I just - you know, I just finished - I just closed a deal to do another season. And I don't have any desire to leave, because I'm having more fun than I've ever had in my life.

So take that for what it is we guess, could the fifth season be the last year of True Blood? We highly doubt it. But, who knows? Ball could always be replaced by someone less willing to rape a main character every other episode, or not, who knows! The Vampire Ball is in his Vampire Court.

Moving on to more important matters, Ball also addressed why Jason had sex fantasies about the Hoyt (The Greatest) Fortenberry. Did drinking Jessica's Hoyt-rich vampire blood cause Jason to have Hoyt sex dreams? And if yes, where can we get some of this? Ball denied all claims of the vampire science and said the fantasizing stemmed from Jason's guilt for wanting to sleep with his best friend's girlfriend. And that this is the last time we'll see Hoyt on top of Jason. BOOOO.

I think a new showrunner after the fifth season could be good. Ball seems to handle three seasons well, then it gets weak.
