Anyone who was holding his or her breath for the return of Adrianne Palicki’s Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse to Agents of SHIELD—especially since spin-off Marvel’s Most Wanted didn’t get picked up—should probably exhale. Palicki has a new gig alongside Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane, who’s branching into live-action TV.

The series, which doesn’t have a title yet, is an hour-long comedy/drama that already has a 13-episode order from Fox. Palicki will play the ex-wife of MacFarlane’s character, both of whom are crew members aboard the Orville, “a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar fleet,” 300 years in the future. Also cast is frequent MacFarlane collaborator Scott Grimes, who’ll play the ship’s pilot to MacFarlane’s captain and Palicki’s first officer.

No word yet on when the show will be coming to the airwaves, or whether or not Palicki might be able to squeeze in a guest-star appearance on you-know-which Marvel show in the meantime.

Wow, Marvel really screwed up with Agents of SHIELD in my opinion.

“Let’s take something fans liked that promoted our brand and completely blow up the cast, change its time slot, cancel any spinoffs before they start and then ignore it in the greater MCU so that hopefully nobody cares when it’s finally cancelled after the fourth season due to ‘low ratings’ and ‘viewer apathy’.”

Bullshit, I say. Bullshit.

But good luck to Palicki either way.
