A Fox Needs A Lift Home In Fly Me To The Moon

Miklós Felvidéki is a college student in Hungary, where he’s studying animation. The short film is a surrealistic story of a fox who wakes up on the moon.

According to Felvidéki, this is his first film, and it’s something that he’s been working on for a while now:

The story an the design itself was based on a comic that I made during high school. Around that time I started drawing surrealistic short comics with this fox person and one of them was about him waking up on the moon with a hangover. Years later at university we had an assignment to do a pitch for 5 minute animation that is based on a short story. I decided to go back and turn this comic into a film.

I love this animation style it reminds me of a weird mashup of Mike Mignola, Herge and Bill Watterson. Hopefully, we’ll see more from Felvidéki in the near future!

Bats Aren't Bugs!!

This cannot be real, there is no way a student currently in college would know what a phone booth was!

But really nice short, well done!
